AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON BOTH SIDES OF THAT PART OF TWELFTH STREET
BETWEEN ASH STREET AND COLUMBIA STREET AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
WHEREAS, congestion of traffic on that part of 12th Street lying between
Ash Street and Columbia Street in the City of Plainview, Texas, makes it
advisable to prohibit parking of motor vehicles of any kind on said part of
12th Street.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW:
SECTION 1: Parking of any kind of motor vehicle on either side of that
part of 12th Street lying between the West Boundary Line of Ash Street and the
East Bonndary Line of Columbia Street in the City of Plainview is hereby
prohibited.
SECTION 2: No person shall park or cause to be parked a motor vehicle,
automobile, truck, truck tractor, or motor vehicle of any kind on either side
of that part of 12th Street lying between the West Boundary Line of Ash Street
and the East Boundary Line of Columbia Street in said City of Plainview,
Texas.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of any' ordinance of the City of
Plainview, Texas, in conflict therewith are hereby amended to conform with the
provisions hereof.
SECTION 4: Any person who shall violate or fail to comply with any of
the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and
upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine in a sum of not less than
One Dollar ($1.00), nor more than Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00).
