~N ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING THE SPEED LIMIT OF PORTIONS OF STREETS IN
BROADWAY PARK AND RUNNING WATER DRAW REGIONAL PARK IN THE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEXAS~ AT THE LOCATIONS HEREIN DESIGNATED, REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PRESCRIBING A PENALTY FOR
THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE. -
WS[EREAS, the City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas, has
determined that it would be in the best interest of the public that
the maximum speed limit shall be 20 miles per hOur on the streets
located in Broadway Park and Running Water Draw Regional Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLAINVIEW~ TEXAS:
SECTION 1- (A) The maximum speed limit shall be 20 miles per
hour on the following streets in Broadway Park:
On SE 1st Street from the intersection of SE 1st and Broadway
Street to the intersection of SE 1st and Beech Streets.
On Ash Street from the intersection of E. 1st and Ash Streets
to the intersection of SE 1st and Ash Streets.
On Beech Street from the intersection of East 1st and Beech
Streets to the intersection of SE 4th and Beech Streets.
On SE 2nd Street from the intersection of SE 2nd and S. Beech
Streets to the intersection of SE 2nd and Date Streets.
(B) The maximum speed limit shall be 20 miles per hour on the
following streets in Running Water Draw Regional Park:
On West 4th Street from the intersection of West 4th and Garland
Streets, West, to the end of West 4th Street.
SECTION 2: It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any
motor vehicle which is self-propelled, a'utomobile 'or motorcycle on
the above designated portions of Streets in Broadway Park and Running
Water Draw Regional Park at a speed greater than 20 miles per hour,
which is hereinabove designated in Section 1 of this Ordinance as
the maximum speed limit.
SECTION 3: Ail ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict

'SECTI.ON 4: Any person who shall violate or fail to comply with
the provislon~ of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine or not leSs
than one dollar ($1.00) and not more than two hundred dollars
($200.00).
