AN ORDINA'NCE ESTABLISHING PARALLEL PARKING ON THE NORTH AND
SOUTH SIDE OF THE STREET IN THE 100 and 200 BLOCK OF WEST
SIXTH STREET IN PLAINVIEW, TEXAS, ~ND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY.
WHEREAS, the congestion of traffic at the intersection
of West Sixth Street and Austin Street, Plainview, Texas, has
created a traffic hazard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plainview has
determined that it would be in the best interest of the Public
that parking on the North and South side of West Sixth Street
in a part of the 100 Block and all of the 200 Block should
be restricted to parallel parking only;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: Ail motor vehicles which are parked on the North
or South side of Sixth Street in the following designated
areas shall be parked parallel with the curb:
BEGINNING at the West boundary line of the alley in the
100 Block of West Sixth St~

SECTION 2: Ail ordinances or p~rt of any ,ordinance of the
City of Plainview in conflict herewith are hereby amended to
conform with the provisions hereof.
SECTION 3: Any person who shall violate or fail to-comply with
any provision of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by fine of not
less than $1~.00 or more than $2(~0.00.
