ORDINANCE N0. 84-2x76
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 81-2471, PROVIDING A
PENALTY FOR. THE VIOLATION OF THE J1:TNKED VEHICLES CODE AND
PROVIDING ~'OR THE PASSAGE OF SUCH ORDINANCE AS AN EMER-
GENCY.
TnTHEREAS, VERNON`S TEX. CIV. STAT. ANN. art. 1011 and art. 1195
'mave been amended by the Texas Legislature authorizing
municipalities ~to assess a fine of v.p to One Thousand Dollars
($1,001).00) upon conviction of violating certain designated city
ordinances; and
WI:iEREAS, the City Council has determined that it would be in
the best interest and to the benefit of the citizens of Plainview,
Texas that the penalty for violating said ,dunked vehicles code
should be increased in accordance with said statute,
NtJ~, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY 'THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLA.INVIEYnT;, TEXAS THAT SECTION 10 OF ORDINANCE N0. 81-2471 BE

Tlhe necessity to amend Section 10 of Ordinance No. 81-2471
creates an emergency and it is n imperative public necessity that
