AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING, STOPPING OR STANDING OF
ANY MOTOR VEHICLE ON ANY PART OF ALL 1-27 FRONTAGE ROADS IN THE
CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS; AND PROVIDING A
PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas, has
determined that it would be in the best interest of the public that
parking, stopping or standing of a motor vehicle of any kind be
prohibited oh all portions of 1-27 Frontage Roads in the City Limits
of the City of Plainview, Texas.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT Ordained by the City Council of the City
of Plainview, Texas;
Section 1: Parking, stopping or standing of any kind of motor
v~hicle on both 1-27 Frontage Roads within the City Limits of the
city of Plainview is prohibited.
Section 2: Ail ordinances or portions of any ordinance of the
City of Plainview, Texas in conflict herewith, are hereby amended to
conform with the provisions hereof.
Section 3: Any person who shall violate or fail to comply with
any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a
misdeameanor and upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine in the
sum of not less than $1.00 nor more than $200.00.
The necessity to prohibit parking, stopping or standing of a motor
vehic%e of any kind on the Frontage Roads, Plainview, Texas,
descrlebed above creates an emergency and is an imperative public
necessity that more than one reading thereof be, and the same is
herebY suspened, this ordinance shall be passed and take effect as
an emergency measure and shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage as provided by law, and it is so ordained.
