The Plainview City Council met on August 7, 2018 at 6:15 p.m. in the City Council
Chambers of the Plainview City Hall at 901 Broadway. The agenda for this meeting was
posted in City Hall at 1:40 p.m. on July 31, 2018. Mayor Wendell Dunlap presided.
Councilmembers present were: Nelda VanHoose-District 1, Larry Williams -District 2,
Norma Juarez -District 3, Teressa King -District 4, Susan Blackerby-District 5 and Oliver
Aldape-District 7.
Staff members present were: Jeffrey Snyder, City Manager, Tim Crosswhite-Director of
Public Works, Paul Kite -Assistant Director of Utilities, Sarianne Beversdorf-Director of
Finance, Ken Coughlin -Police Chief, David Sells -Fire Captain, Kevin Goss -Fire
Department, lsauro Gutierrez -Director of Information Technology, Jeff Johnston -
Community Development Manager, Melinda Brown -Main Street Manager, and Belinda
Hinojosa-City Secretary.
News Media Present: Deborah Zacher-Plainview Herald
The Council and staff held the 2018-2019 budget workshop.
There being no further business, Mayor Dunlap adjourned the meeting at 7:21 p.m.
