The City Council met on August 23, 2018 at 11:40 a.m., at the Plainview Convention
Center, 2902 W. 4th Street, Plainview, Texas. The agenda for this meeting was posted in
City Hall at 11:00 a.m. on August 20, 2018. Mayor Wendell Dunlap presided.
Councilmembers present were Nelda VanHoose-District 1, Larry Williams -District 2,
Teressa King -District 4, Susan Blackerby-District 5 and Oliver Aldape-District 7.
Councilmember Norma Juarez -District 3 was absent.
Staff members present were: Jeffrey Snyder -City Manager, Tim Crosswhite-Director of
Public Works, Sarianne Beversdorf-Director of Finance, Ken Coughlin -Police Chief,
Isauro Gutierrez -Director of Information Technology, Jeff Johnston -Community
Development Manager, Paul Kite -Assistant Director of Utilities, Melinda Brown -Main
Street Manager, and Belinda Hinojosa-City Secretary.
Mayor Wendell Dunlap delivered the invocation.
The Council granted an excused absence to Councilmember Norma Juarez.
Tim Crosswhite, Director of Public Works made a presentation on the City of Plainview
GIS System.
The Council and staff reviewed the agenda for the City Council meeting of August 28,
2018.
There being no further business, Mayor Dunlap adjourned the meeting at 12:38 p.m.
