RESOLUTION NO. R19-439
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS SUPPORTING AN APPLICATION FROM CONRAD HOUSING
PARTNERS, LP TO THE FEDERAL HOME LOAN BANK FOR THE
CONRAD HOTEL LOFTS WORKFORCE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT
LOCATED AT 116 W 6T" STREET, IN THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, Conrad Housing Partners, LP has proposed a development for
affordable rental housing located at 116 W 6tn Street named Conrad Hotel Lofts in the
City of Plainview; and
WHEREAS, Conrad Housing Partners, LP has advised that it intends to submit an
application to the Federal Home Loan Bank for Conrad Hotel Lofts; and
WHEREAS, Conrad Housing Partners, LP has requested from the City of
Plainview support for its application to FHLB and for the development of the Project; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the application process, an application must
show support to qualify for points with a resolution voted on and adopted from the
governing body expressly setting forth support by the political subdivision;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE City Council of the City of
Plainview, Texas:
Section 1. The City of Plainview, acting through its governing body, hereby
confirms that it supports the proposed Conrad Hotel Lofts and that this formal action has
been taken to put on record the opinion expressed by the City of Plainview on May 9,
2019, and
Section 2. That for and on behalf of the Governing Body, Wendell Dunlap, Mayor,
is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to certify these resolutions to the
Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas.
Section 3. Should any portion or part of this Resolution be held for any reason
invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the same shall not be
construed to affect any other valid portion hereof, but all valid portions hereof shall remain
in full force and effect.
