The City Council met on July 7, 2005 at the Plainview Convention Center, 2902 West 4th
Street, Plainview, Texas. The agenda for this meeting was posted in City Hall at 5:15
p.m. on June 30, 2005. Mayor John C. Anderson presided. Councilmembers present
were: Mary Jane Shanes-District 2, Belinda Pena-Distdct 3, John N. Bertsch-District 4,
and Wendell Dunlap-District 6. Councilmembers Kelvin 'ripton-District 1, Ron Trusler-
District 5 and Roland Nash-District 7' were absent.
Staff members present were: Greg Ingham-City Manager, John Berry-Director of Public
Works, John Castro-Director of Community Services, Will Mull-Police Chief, Brice
Clements-Engineer, Gary Glass-Fire Chief, Jack Keller-Budget Manager, Don Burress-
Fire Dept .training Officer, Dale Simpson-Director of Civil Service and Belinda Hinojosa-
City Secretary.
Guests present: Candace Tonche
News Media Representative present were: Richard Orr-Plainview Daily Herald
Councilmember Wendell Dunlap delivered the invocation.
Councilmembers 'ripton, Trusler and Nash were granted excused absences.
· the Council and staff reviewed the agenda for the City Council meeting of July 12,
2005.
Greg Ingham, City Manager advised the Council of the dates for the budget sessions.
July 21s~ the Council will be presented with an overview of the budget. The Council will
have a budget session on August 4th at City Hall.
There being no further business, Mayor Anderson adjourned the meeting at 12:17 p.m.
