Max Browning made motion to approve mlmltes as pre~ented. John Bickel seconded. Motion carried 5-0. ~;eeond itaan on the agenda: BA Case # 1490 The request of Eldon Box for a variance of twenty-four feet (24) of the r~red thirty (30) foot front setback and two feet (2) of the required eight (8) foot side setback as ~ in Section 34 of the City of Plainview Zoning Ordinance to constnlet a 17'X26' carport in a Single- Family Residential (R-l) Zoning District. and being Block 1, Lot 1. Country Club Addition, Plainview, Hale County, Texas the same being 2200 Norma Street. Them is no representative present to answer questions from the Board. John Castro showed the Board pictures of the property where the proposed carport will be constructed. John Castro also showed the Board a map of the neighboring properties and said there were three (3) responses received from the neighborhood, all in favor of the request. John Castro told the Board that the existing carport would be replaced by the proposed one. John Bickel made a motion to approve the variance based on positiv~ responses Eom the neighborhood and this being the only logical place for the carport. Max Browning seconded the motion. Motion carried 5-0. Third item on the agenda: BA Case # 1491 The request of Franldin & Angie Ebeting for a variance of ten feet (I0) of the required thirty (30) foot front setback as stated in Section 34 of the City of Plainview Zoning Ordinance to construct a 10'>L20' carport in a Single-Family Residential (R-l) Zoning District, and being Block 1, Lot 16, Aylesworth Addition, Plainview, Hale County, Texas the same being 1308 Utica Street. Fred Beehtold is pre~nt to answer questions from the Board. John Castro showed the Board a site plan of ~ proposed carport as well as a map of showing the neighboring properties and said there were three (3) responses received from the neighboring properties, all in favor of the request. John Bickel asked what conslruefion .materials woul~l be used and Fred Bechtold said the. carport would be made of metal materials and it would drain toward the street. Kenny Brown made a morton to approve the variance based on rids being the best logical placement for the carport and the positive responses received from the neighborhood.
