ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING

*The meeting was called to order by President Gary Stennett. Joe Provence gave the
prayer.
* Minutes of the April meeting were approved.
*The Volunteer of the Month is Bert Wall.
*Irma gave the financial report for March.
*"My Dad Reads to Me" has recorded 8 dads reading to 15 children with 34 books
shipped.
*The May Birthday Recognition was May 8th at McDonald's. Littlefield will have their
Birthday Recognition on May 3151 for birthdays in April, May and June.
*Grant reports were submitted at the end of April.
*Irma had to cancel her trip to Maryland for the Senior Corps Seminar.
*Cassandra is no longer with RSVP so Twyla has been filling in.
*Meghan Hines, state officer with CNCS will be meeting with Irma on May 15'w". CNCS
has posted a survey on RSVP's Facebook page.
*The DEA drug take -back on April 271h took in 347 pounds of old/unused medications.
*The Hike & Bike Trail cleanup on April 17`h was a success.
*Each of the three community gardens now has a "Plant Leader" to oversee the garden
and assist RSVP with management.
*The 11'h Annual RSVP Golf Tournament is set for Saturday, August P.
*The next meeting will be June 11, 2019.
*Twyla reported a total of 348 volunteers with 229 serving 4,982 hours in March.
* Ballots for Volunteer of the Month were distributed.
*Meeting was adjourned.
