RESOLUTION NO. R95-111
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF PLAINVIEW,
TE~L~xS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO MAKE APPLICATION
TO THE STATE OF TEXAS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE "TURN
AROUND TEXAS" PROGRAM.
Whereas, the Cigt of Plainview, Texas has experienced a significant increase in juvenile
crime and narcotics use; and
Whereas, the Ci~t Council of the City of Ptainview, wishes to take measures to reduce
juvenile crime and deter the use and sale of narcotics within the city; and
Whereas, the program 'q~urn Around Texas" is available to the citizens of Plainview to aid
in these efforts.
Now, therefore., be it resolved by the City Council of Plainview, Texas, that the police
department is authorized to make application, on behalf of the community, to the State of
Texas to participate in the "Turn Around Texas" program.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 25th day of April 1995.
