HomeMy WebLinkAbout92 1217 min special288 MINUTES Plainview City Council December 17, 1992 The Plainview City Council met in a Special City Council Meeting at 11:30 a.m., December 17, 1992, at the Plainview Country Club. Mayor E. V. Ridiehuber presided at the meeting. Councilmembers present were: Alton Jackson - Precinct 1; Mary Virginia Kirchhoff - Precinct 2; Don Dickson - Precinct 3; Medlin Carpenter - Precinct 4; Barbara Dorman - Precinct 5; Dwain Dodson - Precinct 6; and Irene Favila - Precinct 7. Staff present were: James P. Jeffers - City Manager; Roy Osborne Director of Public Safety; Diane Groh - Director for Community Services; Barbara Sullivan - Municipal Court Judge; Wally Hatch - City Attorney; Terry Powers - Director of Human Resources; Norman Huggins - Director of Finance; Bill HOgge - Director of Public Works; Muff London - Main Street Coordinator; and Karen McBeth - City Secretal~y. Mayor Ridlehuber called the meeting to order. Mayor Ridlehuber stated the first item on the agenda was to call for a public hearing on the proposed annexation of three certain tracts of land adjacent to the Westridge and Westridge Park Additions in Hale County, Texas. Barbara Dorman moved the public hearing be opened; Medlin Carpenter seconded the motion; the motion carried UDan~mously. Mayor Ridlehuber declared the public hearing open and asked anyone in favor of the annexation to come forward and speak. No one came forward. Mayor Ridlehuber asked if anyone wished to speak against the proposed annexation. No one cs~me forward to speak against it. Medlin Carpenter made a motion the public hearing be closed; Alton Jackson seconded the motion; the motion carried u~an~mously. Mayor Ridlehuber declared the public hearing closed. Alton Jackson moved the Special Council Meeting adjourn; Barbara Dorman seconded the motion; the motion carried unanimously.
