The City Council met on April 6, 2006, at the Plainviiew Convention Center, 2902 West 4~ Street, Plainview, Texas. The agenda for this meeting was posted in City Hall at 11:00 a.m. on April 3, 2006. Mayor John C. Anderson presided. Councilmembers present were: MarY Jane Shanes-District 2, Belinda Pena-District 3, John N. Bertsch- District 4, Ron Trusler-Distdct 5, and Roland Nash-District 7. Councilmember Kelvin Tipton-District 1 and CouncilmemberWendell Dunlap-District 6 were absent: St~ff members present were: Greg Ingham-City Manager, John Castro-Director of Community services, Leslie pearce-City Attorney, John BerrY-Director of Publi© Works, Will Mull-Police Chief, Brice Clements-Engineer, Dale Simpson-Director of Civil Service, I Gary Glass-F~re Chief and Belinda Hinojosa-City SecretarY. C0ur~cilmember Kelvin Tipton and Wendell Dunlap were granted excused absences. ;0~e Council and staff reviewed the agenda for the City Council meeting of April 11, 06. Mayor Anderson moved to remove from the table the motion to approve the Replat of Mesa Verde Addition. Unit No. 5, an Addition to the City of Plainview. Texas, being a Replat of all of Lot 28, Mesa Verde Addition, Unit No. 5, in Section 27, Block JK-2, G.C. & S.F. Survey, Hale County, Texas. The motion was duly seconded by Councilmember Sl~anes and carried by unanimous vote. / Brice Clements, Engineer stated the property is located- south of Murfee Gas Station & NOrth of movie theater. The owner is Another Attic, LTD and the owner is requesting to sNbdivide Lot 28 to I;ot 28A & Lot 28B. Lot 28A would be the location of Another Attic and Lot 28B would be sold There are no requirements for paving and gutter since they ar 9 in place and no costs associated with connection fees, dedication deeds and tax re :eipts. The City is requiring a 15' wide easement ;across South part of Lot 28A so Lot 2~ B can receive sewer services. Staff recommends approval contingent upon receipt of a sewer easement between buyer and seller to assure Lot 28B has access to sewer S~ rvlce. M~yor Anderson moved to amend the original motion that such is contingent upon receipt of sewer easement between the two parties. The mOtion was duly secOnded by C0uncilmember TruSler and carried by unanimous vote. / The Council then voted on the original motion as amended made by Councilmember B~rtsCh and seconded by Councilmember Dunlap.
