MINUTES
The Plainview City.Council met in regular session on Tuesday,
August 26, 1986, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber of City
Hall with Mayor Ridlehuber presiding and the following Council-
members preSent: Alton Jackson, Terry Clements, Don Dickson,
Barbara ~Dorman, Junior Brown and Tom Aday.
Staff present: City Manager Jim Jeffers, Director of Municipal
Services Mike McDonough, Director of Public Works Bill Hogge,
Asst. City Attorney David Blackburn and City Secretary Sheryl
Owen.
Invocation was given and Mayor Ridlehuber welcomed the guests
and Opend the meeting.
Mayor presented for consideration on second and final reading
the adoption of Ordinance No. 86-2656 entitled, "A~ Ordinance
providing for the extension of certain boundary lines of the
City of Plainivew, Texas, and within the extraterritorial
jurisdiction of said city." Mr. J.M. Harris spoke to the and
requested that his property be left out of the proposed annexation.
It was moved by Councilman Aday seconded by Councilwoman Dorman to
deny Mr. Harris's request. It was the'n moved by Councilman Aday
seconded by Councilwoman Dorman to approve the Ordinance on 2nd
and Final reading. Motion carried unanimously.
Mayor presented the following Consent Calendar:
a) Minutes
b) Department Reports
C) BUdget Expenditures
d) Consideration of Resolution No. R86-198 entitled, "A
Resolution of the Mayor.and City Council of the City of Plainview,
Texas endorsing the concept of an enhanced "911" for the City
of Plainview and authorizing City administration to complete a
study on the implementation of a "911" System."
Consideration of Resolution No. R86-151 entitled, "A Resolution
of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas
requesting a feasibility study from the Texas Highway Department
on the extension of Southwest 3rd from Coumbia to Date Streets.
Consideration of Resolution No. R86-150 entitled, "A Resolution
of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas
discontinunig the Med-Care Membership Program of the City of -
Plainview Fire Department Emergency Medical Servicex.
It was moved by Councilwoman Dorman seconded by Councilman
Aday to approve the Consent Calendar.
It was then moved by Councilman Aday seconded by
Councilman Jackson to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried
unanimously.
Meeting adjourned.
