A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS DECLARING THE REAL PROPERTY AT .19 ACRES OUT OF
NE/PT LOT 10, BLOCK 2, WESTRIDGE, PLAINVIEW, SAME BEING 114
YUCCA TERRACE, PLAINVIEW, TEXAS TO BE SURPLUS REAL
PROPERTY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPRAISE SAID
PROPERTY AND ADVERTISE FOR SEALED BIDS FOR APPRAISED
VALUE; DECLARING THAT THE POLICY SERVES A PUBLIC PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview, Texas is the owner of certain real property,
located within the boundaries of the corporate city limits of the City of Plainview, Texas;
and
WHEREAS, said real surplus property is located at .19 acres out of NE/PT of Lot
10, Block 2, Westridge, City of Plainview, Hale County, Texas, the same being 114 Yucca
Terrace; and
WHEREAS, recently, interest has been expressed in acquiring this lot; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview Code of Ordinances, Article 1.08, Section
1.08.002, requires the City Manager to have the property appraised to obtain an
appraised value for said surplus real property; and
WHEREAS, the said Ordinance further requires the City Manager to advertise for
sealed bids offering for sale to the highest bidder, but no bid will be accepted less than
the appraised value together with costs incurred; and
WHEREAS, a public purpose and benefit does exist to return surplus real property
to the tax rolls of all the taxing entities; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLAINVIEW THAT:
SECTION I
The City Council hereby declares that .19 acres out of NE/PT of Lot 10, Block 2,
Westridge, City of Plainview, Hale County, Texas the same being 114 Yucca Terrace, is
surplus real property for the City of Plainview, Texas.
SECTION II
A public purpose does exist to return said property to the tax rolls of all the taxing
entities.

SECTION III
Consequently, the City Manager is authorized to have the property appraised and
attain an appraised value of said property.
SECTION IV
The City Manager is further authorized to advertise sealed bids for no less than
the appraised value of said property.
