HomeMy WebLinkAbout82 0810 minO0 050 CITY COUNCIL MEETING August 10, 1982 Minutes COUNCIL CHAMBERS City Hall The City Council met in a regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers with Mayor Ridlehuber presiding and the following Councilman present: Carl Tillerson, Andy Taylor, Lloyd Woods and Bobby James. Also present: John Hatchel, Joe Fergusc~, Hugh Anderson, Tcm Riney, Larry M~Eachern, Mike F~Donough, Bill Hogge, Bob Richards Buddy Dodson, and Sheryl Owen. ' Visitors present: Charles Bechtold, Gary Ott, Charles Couch, Jim Ferrell, Jim Davis, Pob Strong, and Tom Baker. Invocation was given by Joe Ferguson. Mayor presented them inures of the CityCounciiMeeting, July 27, 1982 and the City Council Work Session, August 5, 1982. It was movedby Alderman Woods seconded byAlderman Taylor to approve the minutes. ~btion carried unanimously. Mayor presented Reso!utionNo. R82-528 appointing members to various Boards, Committees and Cc~sions. Mayor appointed Mr. Jack Skaggs to the Canadian River Water Authority Board. It was movedby Alderman James seconded byAlderman Tillerson to approve the appoint- ment. Mptioncarriedunanimously. Mayor presented Ordinance No. 82-2495 on first reading authorizing the Hotel or Motel collecting a occupancy tax to deductand withhold frcmthe tax due to the City on a quarterly return as reimbursement for the cost of collecting the tax 1% oft he amount of tax due as shown on the quarterly report. Jim Ferrell spoke. Also, R~b Strong explained the occupancy tax. It was then r~DvedbyAlderman Tillerson seconded by Alderman Taylor to approve the ordinance. ~btion carried unanimously. Mayor~sen~e~.Reso~u~ion_No. R8~-530 accepting the completed project of painting o2 two elevatedwatertanks and making final payment. Bill Hogge explained the resolution. It was then movedby Alderman Tillerson seconded byAldermanTaylor to approve the resolu- tion. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor presented the Budget Expenditures for approval. It was then moved by Alderman Woods seconded by Alderman Tillerson to approve the expenditures. Motion carried unanimously.
