COUNCIL CHAMBERS 7:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Plainview met in a regular meeting
Tuesday, March 13th at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall
with F~yor Ridlehuber presiding and the following Councilman present:
Carl Tillerson, ~brris Smith and Bobby James. Also present: John
Hatchel, Bob Ricb~mrds, Bill, Buddy Dodson, Larry McEachern, Mike
McDonough and Hugh Anderson.
Invocation was given.
Mayor presented the following for approval on consent agenda:
City Council ~eting Minutes, February 28, 1984; City Council Work
Session Minutes, March 8, 1984; Departmental Reports and ~nutes, and
Budget Expenditures.
Resolution No. R84-688 authorizing the City to join with other
cities and the Texas Municipal League in the coalition to thwart the
passage of federal legislation designed to preempt the authority of
cities to regulate Cable TV rates and services at the local level, and
contribute $750.00 as financial support.
Zoning Ordinance No. 84-2547 on first reading and calling a public
hearing for March 27th, 7:30 p.m. to rezone Lots 13, and the West 72
feet of 14,15, & 16, Block 73, Alexander-Westmoreland Addition from an
R-2 (Single-Family Residential) Zoning District to a C.R.D. (Cc~nercial
Retail District) Zoning District for conm~rcial uses and located at 611
West 7th St. Request of J,D. James. Zone Case No. 487.
Resolution No. R84-689 authorizing City National Bank of Plainview,
Texas to release securities in the amount of $1,000,000.
It was moved by Alderman James seconded by Alderman Smith to
approve all of the above as stated. Motion carried unanimously.
It was then moved by Alderman James seconded by Alderman Tillerson
to adjourn the meeting. Meeting Adjourned.
