MINUTES
The Plainview City Council met in a regular City Council m~eting at
7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 1984 at City Hall in the Council
Chambers with Mayor Ridlehuber presiding and the following Council-
members present: Barbara Dorman, Andy Taylor, Junior Brown, bobby Jam~s
and Tc~ Aday. Staff present: City Manager Jim Jeffers, Bob Richards,
Norman Huggins, Hugh Anderson, Jack Dickey, T~m Riney, Tom Hamilton,
Mike McDonough, Bill Hogge, Buddy Dodson and Sheryl Owen.
Invocation was given by Tom Aday.
Mayor Ridlehuber opened the meeting and welcomed the guests.
Mayor then presented the following for approval; Minutes of
previous City Council meetings; Departmental Reports and Minutes; and
Budget Expenditures. It was moved by Alderman Taylor seconded by
Alderwoman Dorman to approve the above. Motion carried unanimously.
Mayor then presented Ordinance No. 84-2572 for consideration,
entitled "Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 83-2530A establishing rates
of which the Ambulance Service may charge within the incorporated limits
of the City of Plainview. Mayor explained that Don Pruitt had presented
a proposal for a rate increase to the City Council, and that the Council
will be studying the proposal. It was then moved by Alderman Aday that
the Ordinance be approved on contingent of signature of contract for six
months, seconded by Alderwcman Dorman. Motion carried unanimously.
Mayor then presented Resolution No. R84-773 entitled "R~solution of
the City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas approving a contract
with South Plains Lines and Transmittors for use of Real Estate for
recreation purposes and authorizing the Mayor to execute said contract
on behalf of the City of Plainview. Bob Richards explained the
resolution. Also, Don Perkey and Reggie Holland explained d~tails of
the contract. It was moved by Alderman ~lay seconded by Alderman Taylor
that the resolution be approved contingent on Attorney's approval and
evidence of insurance. Motion carried unanimously.
Mayor then presented Resolution No. R84-774 for consideration,
entitled "Resolution of the City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas
changing the dates of regularly scheduled Council Meetings during the
month of December. Mayor explained the change of dates for the Council
M~etings in December. It was moved by Alderwc~m~ Dorman seconded by
Alderman Taylor to approve the resolution. ~btion carried unanimously.
Mayor reported that the Shopping Center Project was moving along
well, and that the Davis-Woodbury Company representatives would be at
the Council ~eting on December 11, 1984.
With no further business pending, it was moved by Alderman Aday
seconded by Alderwoman Dorman to adjourn the meeting.
Meeting adjourned.
