Mayor Charles Starnes presided. Council Members present were Mary Elizabeth Dickerson -District 1, Steve Martinez -District 2, Mike McDonough -District 3, Gary House - District 4, Susan Blackerby-District 5, and Lorie Rodriguez -District 7. Council Member Evan Weiss -District 6 was absent. Authorize purchase of two (2) CXT Restrooms through the TIPS Purchasin Cooperative for Broadway Park Presenter: Tim Crosswhite, Director of Public Works Purchase for two CXT restrooms to replace an existing city park restroom and add a new one in baseball complex area for $199,600 and with $40,000 for site prep for two restrooms. Authorize purchase of a Schwarze Mechanical Street Sweeper from Heil Texas through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative for the Street Department Presenter: Tim Crosswhite, Director of Public Works HGAC property purchase of Street Sweeper from Heil of Texas for $310,775 Public Comment: None Motion: Move to authorize purchase of a Schwarze Mechanical Street Sweeper from Heil Texas through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative for the Street Department. Motion by Council Member McDonough, seconded by Council Member House Vote: 7-0. Motion carried. 9. Authorize purchase of a 2024 Peterbilt 567 Water Tank Truck through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative for the Solid Waste Department Presenter: Tim Crosswhite, Director of Public Works This is for a 2024 Peterbuilt 567 Water Tank Truck. This is required for solid waste TCEQ air permit. This is a BuyBoard purchase at a cost of $224,443.26 Public Comment: None Motion: Move to authorize purchase of a 2024 Peterbilt 567 Water Tank Truck Motion by Council Member House, seconded by Council Member Rodriguez Vote: 7-0. Authorize purchase of a 2023 4400T Tana Shark Shredder through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative for the Solid Waste Department Presenter: Tim Crosswhite, Director of Public Works Purchase of Tana Shark Shredder for $960,332 through HGAC Public Comment: None Motion: Move to authorize purchase of a Tana Shark Shredder Motion by Mayor Pro Tern Blackerby, seconded by Council Member Rodriguez City Council Minutes October 11, 2022 Page 3 of 5 Vote: 7-0. Authorize purchase of a 2023 Skid -Steer Loader with Attachments throuqh the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative for the Solid Waste Department Presenter: Tim Crosswhite, Director of Public Works Purchase of a 2023 Skid Steer loader in the amount of $99,189.41 through BuyBoard. Will use for shredding green areas, alley maintenance, alley cleanup and material handling at our recycle center. Public Comment: Eugene Allen, 3601 N. Columbia asked how do you arrive as to what is needed Motion: Move to authorize purchase of a 2023 Skid -Steer Loader for the Solid Waste Department Motion by Council Member McDonough, seconded by Council Member Rodriguez Vote: 7-0. Motion carried. 12. Authorize purchase of a 2023 Peterbilt Frontload Trash Refuse Truck through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative for the Solid Waste Department Presenter: Tim Crosswhite, Director of Public Works This is used for commercial truck routes. This is for a 2023 Autocar with a Wittke frontload chassis for $376,180 through BuyBoard. Public Comment: None Motion: Move to authorize purchase of a 2023 Frontload Trash Refuse Truck through Cooperative Motion by Council Member House, seconded by Council Member Dickerson Vote: 7-0. Motion carried. 13. Convene into executive session in accordance with Tex. Gov't Code .551.071 to seek the advice about pendinq or contemplated litigation, settlement offers or on matters in which duty of the attorney under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas conflicts with Tex. Gov't Code Ch. 551 14. Convene into executive session in accordance with Texas Gov't Code �551.074 to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of a public officer or employee, or to hear a complaint or charge against an officer or employee.
