November 5, 1985
The Plainview City Council met in a special session on
Tuesday, November 5, 1985, at the Plainview Country Club with the
following present: Mayor Ridlehuber, Councilmembers: Barbara Dorman,
Andy Taylor, Junior Brown, Bobby James and Tom Aday. Staff members:
Jim Jeffers, Norman Huggins, and Bill Hogge. Visitors were: Mike
FL~2oy, Dick Perioni, R.A. Vernon and Richard Orr.
Mayor Ridlehuber called the meeting to order at 11:30 a.m.
Resolution R85-940 entitled, "An order declaring results of the
special City election" was introduced. Said Resolution certified the
results of the Single M~_mber District Election which was conducted on
November 5, 1985. 706 individuals voted for single member districts and
186 voted against single member districts. Councilman Aday moved that
Resolution R85-940 be adopted as presented. The motion was duly
seconded by Councilman Brown and carried by a unanimous vote.
There being no further business, Mayor Ridlehuber adjourned the
meeting at 11:35 a.m.

There came on to be considered the Returns of an election held on the _ 5~ day of

it appearing that said election was in all respects legally held and that said Returns were duly and legally
made and that there were cast at said election 892 votes:

It is further found and determined that in accordance with ~he order of this governing body the Secre-

pos'ted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the day of this meeting. A copy of-the return of said
posting shall be attached to the minutes of this meeting and shall be made a part thereof for all intents and
purposes.
The. above order being read, it was moved and seconded that same do pass. Thereupon, the question
