RESOLUTION NO. R83-604
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS REJECTiNG ALLBIDSRECEIVEDFOR ROOF REPAIRS AND
AUTHORIZING THE STAFF TO RE-ADVERTISEFORTHE ACCEPTANCE
FOR BIDS.
WHEREAS, the City has several facilities needing immediate roof
repairs these being; the Water Treatment Plant, Reclamation Plant,
and Pump Stations; and
WHEREAS, advertisement was given for the acceptance of bids at
10:00 a.m. ~bnday, May 23rd at City Hall; and
WHEREAS, seventeen invitations were sent to prospective bidders and
only one bid was received at,hat time; and
WHEREAS, the City Staff recon~nds to the City Council that this
bid be rejected and the invitation to bid be re-advertisedwith the hope
that more interest in this project canbe solicited:

City of Plainview, Texas that the bid for the roof repair be rejected
andthe staff be authorized to re-advertise for the acceptance of new
bids on this project.

S APPROPRIATING $3,~0_3:~9~ FROM THE G.O. PARK
VIEW, TEXA ' ~IENT FOR ITEMS
BOND FUND ACCOUNT NO. 3-0-60812 AS PAY.
LISTED HEREIN FOR E. & E. GIVENS PARK.
WHEREAS, on June 27, 1978, the City of Plainview entered into a
Land and Water Conservation Grant Program with the Parks and Wildlife
Department of the State of.Texas (Project No. 48:00799) for the de-
velopment of Lakeside, Frisco and Givens Parks; and
ex enditures listed below totalling $3,103.99 are

1976 G.O. Park Bond Funds relmburseable at 50% fro
ment of ParkS and Recreation for development of Givens Park', and the
materials listed below were used in the development of Givens Park,
and' are now due and payable; and
WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds available in the 1976 G.O.
Park Bond Fund Account No. 3-0-60812 to pay said expenditures;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS to appropriate $3,103.99 from the 1976
G.O. Park Bond Fund Account No. 3-0-60812 as payment-for items listed
herein for Givens Park.
