R83-644 ©0 !08 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PIAINVIEW, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ESYi~R INTO TWO PURCHASE B~RERMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) CAB & CHASIS AND THE SECOND AGREE~INT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A FIRE TRUCK BOOSTER BED FOR THE FIRE DEPART~4ENT. WHEREAS, by Council action approving Ordinance No. 83-2526, monies were budgeted in 1983-84 Revenue Sharing budget for the purchase two Truck Cab & Chasis and for the construction of a Fire Truck Booster Bed; and WHEREAS, advertisement was duly made and on Wednesday, October 19, 1983, at 10:00 A.M., three bids were received for the Truck Cab & Ch~sis and four bids received for the construction of a booster bed to be mounted on one of the chasis; and WHEREAS, the staff has reviewed the bids and reco,-m-~nds that the two 2-ton cab & chasis be purchased from McGavock Motors, 'Inc. in the amount of $29,804; and the construction of a booster bed mounted on the chasis and delivered to Plainview from Fire Appliance Co. of Wichita Falls, in the amount of $22,485 being the lowest and best bids: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY the Mayor and City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas that the Mayor be .authorized to enter into two purchase agreements one being with McGav~k Motors, Inc. for (2) Cab & Chasis and Fire Appliance Co. for the construction of a BooSter Bed to be mounted on one of the chasis.
