Advisory Council Meeting
May 9, 2023

*The meeting was called to order by President Gary Stennett. The opening Prayer was given by
Rodney Watson.
*The minutes of the March meeting were reviewed by council members. Richard moved to
accept the minutes. Tara Walker seconded the motion. Motion carried.
*The April financial report was reviewed by council members. Rodney Watson moved to accept
the financial report, Richard Dye seconded the motion. Motion carried.
*Lunch Bunch was held on April 19t" at Plainview Activities Center 13 were present to play
bingo and trivia questions!
* Birthday Breakfast was held at McDonalds in March and April.
*Charlotte and Irene went to Olton on April 4t" for the Volunteer Ambulance Department
pancake supper fundraiser. We were able to meet with several of the Ambulance volunteers,
which are RSVP members. We also met the director of Runningwater Draw Care Center.
*Charlotte and Irene went to Petersburg Senior Center on April 215t. Charlotte re -presented the
Petersburg Volunteer of the Year to Angie Murillo. Charlotte gave a short program on RSVP.
*RSVP's 50t" Anniversary Volunteer Banquet was held on March 23rd. Approximately 105
attended the banquet, including Mayor Starnes and his wife, Councilman Steve Martinez and
his wife, and Councilwoman Lori Rodriquez and her son. 19 awards were presented to
volunteers, with 80% of those receiving the award were present.
*Charlotte attended the Texas Corps Association meeting in San Antonio on April 24-26.
Charlotte met our portfolio manager, which also attended the meeting.
* Irene presented the volunteer report. 180 volunteers reporting 4,153.74 hours for month of
March.
* Our next meeting will be June 13, 2023.
*The meeting was adjourned.
