The playground will include a large accessible play structure, outdoor musical play instruments, swings and a new STEM component known as the Sona Arch. Last fall, after public comment on two different playground designs, Plainview citizens unanimously chose the current design. It was presented to the Parks Advisory Board and approved by City Council. The project is an approved American Rescue Plan Act project costing $572,604.
