HomeMy WebLinkAbout2023 Small Business Saturday City of Plainview NEWS th 202 W. 5 Street Plainview, TX 79072 November 22, 2023 Mayor Charles Starnes Presents Proclamation Designating th Saturday, Nov. 25 as Small Business Saturday Mayor Charles Starnes presented a proclamation officially designating Saturday, November 25th as Small Business Saturday. Plainview has more than 780 small businesses that create jobs, support our local economy, provide essential goods and services that promote a great quality of life for the community. Also, according to the United States Small Business Administration, there are 32.5 million small businesses responsible for 62% of net new jobs created and employ 47% of the private sector in the United States. The City of Plainview, Plainview Chamber of Commerce, Friends of Downtown and Plainview-Hale County Economic Development Corporation encourage and support Plainview small businesses and invite everyone to visit several on Saturday and throughout the year.
