Home My WebLink About10.05.2023 Fog Seal Coating City of Plainview NEWS th 202 W. 5 Street Plainview, TX 79072 October 6, 2023 Fog Seal Application on City Streets Scheduled to begin on Tuesday, October 10th The City of Plainview Street Department is scheduled to apply fog seal to streets in th several areas around town beginning Tuesday, October 10. Work is scheduled to be completed by mid-week, weather permitting. Fog seal is a single application of an asphalt emulsion onto an existing pavement surface for maintenance purposes. It seals minor cracks, protects the pavement surface from moisture, improves pavement life and improves color contrast between pavement and striping. All vehicles will need to be removed from the curb during the process. Street closures are estimated to last less than an hour per street. The seal coat tentative streets include: Neighborhood th Joliet Street - West 26Street to N.
