Features “Party on Ash Street”

Downtown Plainview’s 2 Saturday event is slated for Saturday,
September 9th featuring a “Party on Ash Street”.
The day’s sponsor, The Mercantile, located at 500 Ash Street, will host
a Christmas Open House and mini photo sessions with Santa by
Lauren Smith Photography.
For those wanting to brag about their culinary skills, Frontier Market
will host a Hot Sauce competition beginning at 11:30 a.m. Entry fee is
$30 and the winner will not only receive bragging rights but a cash
prize as well.
Also, happening on Ash Street is a bubble fun-filled foam party,
margaritas from Plainview Bartenders & Event Staffing and shopping at The Mercantile, Looking
Good Salon & Suites, Acre + Rust as well as other downtown merchants.

Downtown Plainview 2 Saturday began in Spring of 2018. Organized by volunteers, the event
highlights one day a month to encourage residents and visitors to come downtown and features a
variety of sales, food, music and events throughout the year.
The Downtown Plainview Organization (Plainview Downtown Association and Main Street Program
recently combined) work to promote a vibrant and historic downtown where everyone will enjoy
Plainview hospitality.
