Saturday Presents “End of Summer
Downtown Bash”

Downtown Plainview’s 2 Saturday event is slated for
th
Saturday, August 12. The business sponsor is Farmers
Insurance King Agency, and the public is encouraged to
attend.
The event will kick off at 10:00 a.m. featuring a birthday
party for Plainview ISD’s mascot, Spike the Bulldog, fire
extinguisher demonstrations by Jasperwood and a musical
performance by JoJo Disalvo.
Event participants will also have an opportunity to meet
City of Plainview Firefighters and tour a fire truck and
ambulance.
Snow cones with a local Tiger League team will be
available and several food trucks will be in attendance as

well. Events will be located around 8 and Broadway.
Also, The Radiant Lily will host a “Goodbye Summer” shopping event as well as Margs at Miss Kitty’s.
As always, downtown merchants will be open beginning at 10:00 a.m. for shopping, dining and
browsing.

Downtown Plainview 2 Saturday began in Spring of 2018. Organized by volunteers, the event
highlights one day a month to encourage residents and visitors to come downtown and features a
variety of sales, food, music and events throughout the year.
The Downtown Plainview Organization (Plainview Downtown Association and Main Street Program
recently combined) work to promote a vibrant and historic downtown where everyone will enjoy
Plainview hospitality.
