City of Plainview Announces Newly
Installed Used Motor Oil Recycling and
Antifreeze Disposal Drop-Off Area
The City of Plainview Solid Waste Department recently
installed updated used motor oil recycling bins and added
antifreeze collection at the Recycle Center, located at

1018 E. 4 Street.
With the new bins, the 300 Joliet motor oil recycling has
been removed and residents are encouraged to visit the
new location.
Motor oil recycling and antifreeze disposal is free to
Plainview residents and is not available for commercial
use.
The location is open Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. –
5:00 p.m. and every 2nd Saturday of the month from 9:00
a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
