Retirement
The City of Plainview Mayor Charles Starnes
presented Fire Equipment Operator/EMT Bruce
Fowler with a proclamation at the Tuesday night
City Council meeting.
Fowler, a 31-year veteran of the City of Plainview Fire Department, will retire on

January 30. Fowler began his tenure with the City in August 1991.
The proclamation “recognizes publicly his devotion to duty and commends him for the
manner in which he carried out his responsibilities” and “expresses our great
appreciation for his works and achievements and acknowledges his accomplishments
these many years”.

Also, a retirement reception is scheduled for Fowler on Monday, January 30 from 4:00
p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Fire Station 3, 3405 SW Third Street. The public is welcome to
attend.
