City of Plainview Solid Waste
Department Offers Four Sites for
Christmas Tree Recycling
The City of Plainview Solid Waste Department
(Landfill) would like to remind citizens that
Christmas trees may be discarded in the
yellow Loan–A-Tubs at the following drop off

sites: Waste Water Plant (Holliday &16
Street), Regional Park Entrance (Floydada &

4 Street), near the City Service Center

(Columbia & W. 18 Street) and 200 N. Columbia (corner of Columbia & 2
Street). Christmas trees will need to be discarded in the yellow tubs only (no
green boxes).

Loan-A-Tubs will be available beginning Wednesday, December 21 until

Tuesday, January 3.

Trees may also be discarded at the Landfill as well and after January 3 at no
charge for Plainview residents. Located at 1031 County Road Y, the Landfill is
open Monday – Saturday from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
The Solid Waste Department staff will grind Christmas trees (and other trees)
into mulch at the landfill. Mulch is free to residents and available all year.
