The City of Plainview Police Department held a
th
Pinning Ceremony on Tuesday, October 11, at the
City Council Chambers for two new officers –
Savannha Rosas and Zachary Marin.
Rosas, a Plainview High school graduate, completed
the South Plains College Law Enforcement Academy
in August. She was pinned by her friend, Plainview

He was pinned by City of Plainview Police Captain

enforcement community tradition. Badges are presented to officers for two occasions –
graduating from the Police Academy or for a promotion.
The City Plainview Police Department mission is to maintain a safe and peaceful
community by providing effective and efficient law enforcement services through
community partnerships, public education, selfless public service and continuous
professional development. The department is authorized for 34 full-time sworn officers,
