Plainview Holiday Theme for 2022 Announced
Plainview Downtown, the Plainview Chamber of Commerce and several other
organizations are proud to announce the 2022 holiday theme - The Music of Christmas.
Normally, the Plainview Downtown / Main Street Board and Plainview Chamber of
Commerce collaborate on the holiday theme. The theme is used for the Chamber’s
Christmas Parade (they have chosen a theme for more than 30 years) and Downtown
Plainview’s lighted window contest.
Last year, several organizations also used the theme; in response, both organizations
invited other entities including Wayland Baptist University, City of Plainview, Plainview /
Hale County EDC, Covenant Hospital and several high school students, to have input on
this year’s holiday theme.
To assist retailers, (retailers normally find window and holiday décor on sale in January),
the committee also chose the 2023 holiday theme – Holidays Around the World.
Many organizations will begin planning for the holidays this summer. Anyone interested
in volunteering for the holidays may contact Downtown Plainview at 296-1100 for
opportunities.
