City of Plainview’s Unger Memorial Library Now
Offering Newsbank for Patrons
The City of Plainview’s Unger Memorial Library has currently added
Newsbank’s Texas Newspaper Collection and the language learning
program Mango to its collection.
The Newsbank’s Texas Newspaper Collection includes more than 386
Texas City/Town newspapers including the Plainview Herald, College and University
newspapers, blogs and television news transcripts. The files are text files only and do not
provide images.
Newsbank is available to anyone with a library card and patrons can access the collection
from the library’s computers or from their own devices anytime at www.plainviewtx.org.

says Cynthia Peterson, Chief Librarian. “Providing Newsbank and Mango is another
resource we offer in our goal of providing the best services to our citizens.”
Unger Memorial Library is open Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00
p.m., Tuesday & Thursday from 9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.
