City of Plainview’s Water
Department will Mail 2019 Annual
Drinking Water Quality Report to
st
Citizens before July 1
The City of Plainview’s Water Department will send the 2019 Annual Drinking Quality
Report to Plainview citizens via mail before July 1, 2020. The report will also be available
on the City’s website at www.plainviewtx.org and at City Hall (901 Broadway).
Known as the Consumer Confidence Reports (CCR), the report provides Plainview
citizens with information about the quality of the local drinking water. The report is a
requirement from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and contains no violations.
In the report, citizens will find information such as the City’s water source, EPA standards
for safe contaminant levels and information on Cryptosporidium. The presence of
contaminants does not necessarily indicate that water poses a health risk.
“We are proud of the work done by the Water Production staff to ensure the safety of
Plainview’s water supply,” says Paul Kite, Assistant Director of Water Utilities. “With their
continued efforts, citizens can be confident in the water from their tap meets EPA safety
requirements.”
The City of Plainview’s Water Production Department monitors water quality 24 hours a
day, 365 days a week to ensure that Plainview citizen’s water meets all safety
requirements. For more information, visit www.plainviewtx.org or call 296.1100.
