Hale County, City of Plainview Issue Resolutions to Adopt
Governor Abbott’s Executive Order GA-28
Pursuant to Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s Executive Order GA-28, Hale County Judge
David Mull and City of Plainview’s Mayor Wendell Dunlap issued Orders adopting GA-

28 for residents of Plainview effective Friday, June 26.
The Resolution maintains the original conditions of the Disaster Declaration established

on March 31 with updates per the Governor’s Executive Order and specific
recommendations for businesses while still mitigating the spread of COVID-19.
The Executive Order GA-28 changes include:
All outdoor gatherings in an excess of 100 people are prohibited unless such
event has been previously approved by the Mayor, minimum standard health
protocols by Texas Department of State Health Services are followed and other
restrictions, guidelines or protocols establishes by the Mayor not inconsistent
with GA-28.
Business establishments in Texas shall operate at no more than 50 percent of
the total listed occupancy of the establishment.
On June 29, 2020, restaurants may only operate at up to 50 percent of the total
listed occupancy of the restaurant.
People shall not visit bars or similar establishments that hold a permit from the
Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) and are not restaurants
Nursing homes and assisted living facilities are still closed to visitors and the public.
Social distancing of 10 or less people is still required and those who are 65 years and
older or those with compressed immunome systems are asked to stay home as much
as possible.

Please wash your hands, practice social distancing and if you are experiencing COVID-
19 symptoms (shortness of breath, fever and coughing), contact your
physician. Residents are encouraged to stay home when possible and do their part to
limit the spread of COVID-19.
