HomeMy WebLinkAbout9.27.18 False Threat to Schools City of Plainview NEWS 901 Broadway St. Plainview, TX 79072 September 27, 2018 Plainview Police Department Receives Call for Bomb Threat to Schools The Plainview Police Department received an anonymous call at approximately 6:45 a.m. this morning. The caller reported a bomb threat to the school and police promptly notified school officials. Precautions were taken to delay school and shelter those already on campuses at the Ollie Liner Center. Plainview Police, along with the Hale County Sheriff’s Office, DPS and school representatives searched all the schools and no bomb was found. School campuses have been cleared for students and staff to return to their campus. It is believed that a false threat was made and police have begun an investigation into the false call. If you have any information in regards to the investigation, please contact the Plainview Police Department at 296-1183.
