appointed to the TCEQ Water Utility Operator License
Advisory Committee
Paul Kite, Assistant Director of Water Utilities for the City of Plainview,
was recently appointed to the Texas Commission on Environmental
Quality (TCEQ) Water Utility Operator License Advisory Committee.
The purpose of the Water Utility Operator Licensing Advisory
Committee (WUOLAC) is to advise and assist the TCEQ on matter
related to training and licensing of water and wastewater operators. The Committee is
composed of 13 members appointed by the Commission who meet quarterly and
represent various geographic areas of the state, ethnicity, businesses, governments,
associations and industries.
The committee is tasked with reviewing training and educational materials to promote
quality education and training, advising and assisting the licensing requirements and
reviewing the Job Analysis exam validation, assist with the review of rules, regulations,
guidance documents and policy statements and represent a diverse community and
promote interaction with outside organizations.
“We appreciate Paul taking the time to serve on this Board,” says Jeffrey Snyder, City
Manager. “The Committee’s work ensures that we have the best and most trained staff
for our water systems. Paul service on this committee is a great asset not only to our
water department but for the citizens of Plainview as well.”
