gulf coast area of Texas for Hurricane Harvey rescue and medical care. In an
effort to help our fellow Texans, the Plainview Fire/EMS Department will be
st
sending an ambulance and two certified personnel. Deploying on Thursday, August 1, Captain

services to create a Regional EMS Strike Team. The deployment is expected to last 5 to 7 days.
Plainview Fire/EMS is a member of the Texas Medical Task Force, Region 1 which consists of
numerous EMS agencies across the Panhandle and South Plains of Texas. Currently, there are
nine additional EMS Task Forces across Texas. This system is a State and Federally funded

and readiness.
