IT Specialist Isauro Gutierrez promoted to
Information Technology Director
Isauro Gutierrez, IT Specialist for the City of Plainview was promoted to
Information Technology Director by the City Council.
Gutierrez served in the Army for several years and was the Operations
Manager at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center before becoming the IT
Specialist for the City of Plainview in September 2013.
Gutierrez received a B.A. in Computer Science Technology and an MBA in
Management Information Systems (MIS) from Wayland Baptist University. Most recently, he
completed the Certified Government Chief Information Officer Program through the School of
Government at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. He is married to Valessa and they
have two sons.
“Isauro is a tremendous asset to our team here at the City as well as our community,” says
Jeffrey Snyder, City Manager. “This is a well-deserved promotion and I appreciate his service.”
