HomeMy WebLinkAboutSpring Summer Event PR ABF edits City of Plainview NEWS 901 Broadway St. Plainview, TX 79072 March 8, 2017 Spring and Summer Events Scheduled for Downtown Plainview The weather is getting warmer, days are getting longer and that can only mean one thing – more great stuff happening downtown! th Events begin this Saturday, March 11 with the “Faces of Meth” a live drama production presented by The Potter’s House. Showing at the Fair Theater (717 Broadway), doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the event will begin at 7:00 p.m. The show is FREE and anyone is welcome to attend. Rounding out March will be the Plainview Symphony Band performing at the Fair on rd Thursday, March 23. The event will include a combination of symphony, jazz and choir performances. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are by season tickets or donation. April productions at the Fair Theater include Plainview Christian Academy’s Junior High th production “Letters to God” on Thursday, April 13. On Friday, April 21st will be the return of Chad Prather to the Fair Theater. The “Live Laugh Love Tour” with Chad Prather and Cooper Wade is a family event and will begin at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $30.00 and available at www.watchchad.com or www.outhousetickets.com. nd Also on Saturday, April 22, the participants of the Blondes v. Brunettes will be holding a run and event around the courthouse to help raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association. One of downtown’s most popular events, Wine Walk, will be partnering with the Plainview ARTWALK committee to combine these two great events into one fun thth evening. Two are currently scheduled for Friday, May 12 and Friday, August 11. Looking ahead on the calendar, the Fair Theater will host their summer movie program th in June and July, a Dads & Kids event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 14, the Red, th White & Moo Parade and Festival will be Tuesday, July 4 and the Plainview Fall th Festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 7.
