The Radiant Lily in Running for Texas Downtown Association -
People’s Choice Award
Voting has commenced for the Texas Downtown Association’s annual People’s Choice
Awards and Plainview’s The Radiant Lily is a one of the contestants in the Best
Renovation/Best Rehabilitation Category.
The Radiant Lily was
already named a
finalist in this
category for the 2015
Texas Downtown
Association (TDA)
President’s Awards
Program.
Since 1998, the
Awards Program has recognized more than 150 projects, events and people that make
a difference in Texas downtowns. The categories are divided based on populations of
over and under 50,000 inhabitants.
The Best Renovation/Rehabilitation category recognizes excellence in rehabilitation of
the interior or exterior of an existing building. The other finalists in this category &
population group are Stephenville’s First National Bank Building and Sulphur Springs’
City Hall/1914 Post Office. Judging for the awards took place on Friday, September 11,
in Austin.
The People's Choice Awards will open for voting on Monday, October 19 at 8 a.m. and
run until Friday, October 30 at 12:00 p.m. (noon). All voting will take place on Facebook
and finalists are divided only by category for these awards, they are not grouped by
population.

access the contest by visiting the Texas Downtown Association’s Facebook page
(https://www.facebook.com/TexasDowntown) and selecting the tab for 2015 People's
Choice Awards.
Winners will be determined by final vote counts. Fans may only vote once per category.
Winners of the People's Choice Awards will be recognized at the awards luncheon on
November 5 in Waxahachie, along with President's Awards winners selected by our
judging panel last month.
“While the award winners have been chosen by the judges, this is a fun way to get
everyone involved by letting the public pick their winner,” said Catherine Sak, TDA
Director. “We encourage everyone to go to our Facebook page and vote.”
