Residential Trash Pick-Up Schedule Result of
Weekend Rains
November 4, 2024 -- Due to recent rainfall, the City of Plainview
Solid Waste Department (Landfill) will be running residential
routes with street dumpsters only.
Sta? will monitor alley conditions daily to determine if they will
be able to safely work in alleys picking up residential trash.
If unable to operate in alleys, sta? will be setting out yellow tubs
for citizens to take their trash on Wednesday. Yellow tub
locations will be available on the City’s website
(www.plainviewtx.org) and social media pages.
Once sta? can safely drive down alleys, they will add extra trucks to the routes to collect residential
waste.
Also, the Landfill will close at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Sta? will continue to monitor conditions of the
landfill to determine if di?erent closure times are needed for the remainder of the week.
Commercial pickups are not a?ected by the weather; delays in pickup time may be possible.
