PLANNING & ZONING MINUTES
The Planning & Zoning Board held a hearing on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. The
meeting took place in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 202 W 5th St, Plainview, Texas, with the
following members present:
Staff Members Present: Jeff Johnston-Assistant City Manager, Meagon Borjas—Community
Service Secretary, Isauro Gutierrez- Information Technology.
Board Members Present: Chris LeFevre, Danny Murphee, Sally Bishop, Paul Drager, Mark
Hardin, Mark Bacher.
ITEM NO. 1 Call-to Order.
Paul Drager opened the meeting at 6:00 pm, established a quorum and conducted the
consideration of the following items in the order presented.
ITEM.NO. 2 Approval of the minutes of September 8, 2022.
Mark Hardin made a motion for approval of the September 8, 2022 minutes. Mark Bacher
seconded and motion carried unanimously.
ITEM No. 3: Case File No. P-22-05 Rezoning a platted property that is approximately 7000
sq. ft. in the Alexander and Westmoreland Addition, the East half of Lots 15 and 16, BLK
91, commonly known as 909 8th St., Plainview, Hale County Texas. It is currently Suburban
Residential (SR) and is requesting to be zoned, General Commercial (GC).
OWNER(S): SURVEYOR: N/A
Jeff Johnston presented before the board a consideration of rezone of a platted property for
address, 909 8th St.
Danny Murphee made motion to open Public Hearing.Seconded by Chris LeFevre. Motion carried
unanimously.
Paul Drager asked if there was anyone to speak in Opposition or Favor. No Opposition. No Favor.
Sally Bishop made motion to close Public Hearing_. Seconded by Mark Hardin. Motion carried
unanimously.
Motion to approve Case File No. P-22-05 Rezoning a platted property that is approximately
7000 sq.ft. in the Alexander and Westmoreland Addition,the East half of Lots 15 and 16,
BLK 91, commonly known as 909 8th St., Plainview, Hale County Texas. Changing from
Suburban Residential (SR)to be zoned, General Commercial (GC).
Mark Hardin made motion to approve. Seconded by Chris LeFevre. Motion carried unanimously.
ITEM NO. 6 No further comments were made and the meeting was adjourned at 6:06 pm.
