HomeMy WebLinkAbout01.12.2023 MINUTES PLANNING & ZONING MINUTES The Planning & Zoning Board held a hearing on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 6:00.p.m. The meeting took place in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 202 W 5th St, Plainview, Texas, with the following members present: Staff Members Present: Jeff Johnston —Assistant City Manager, Meagon Borjas—Community Service Secretary, Erica Muniz— Community Service Secretary. Board Members Present: Had Kotaiya, Sally Bishop, Mark Hardin, Paul Drager, Chris LeFevre, and Mark Bacher. ITEM NO. 1 Call to Order. Paul Drager opened the meeting at 6:00 pm, established a quorum and conducted the consideration of the following items in the order presented. ITEM NO. 2 Approval of the minutes of December 1, 2022. Mark Hardin made a motion for approval of the December 1, 2022 minutes. Sally Bishop seconded, motion carried unanimously. - Item NO. 3. Case File No. P-22-06 Approval of the Final Plat, to be located in the City of Plainview, Hale County•Texas. Describes by metes and bounds AB 26 BLK JK-2 SEC 29 OUT W/2 336.34X1036 FAC &W OF HWY&274X275'9.813 Acres, commonly known n as 700 S 1-27, Wylie Addition Tract A, Plainview, Hale County Texas. OWNER(S): Coyote Real Estate Holdings, L.L.0 SURVEYOR:AMD Engineering Jeff Johnston presented before the board, AMD Engineering was not ready for this hearing and was asked to be put on hold. Chris LeFevre made motion to table case file No. P-22-06. Had Kotaiya seconded and motion carried unanimously. Item NO.4. Case File No. P-23-01 rezoning a platted property that's approximately 11,976 sq. . ft. in the Ray Addition, the Southeast Block of 87, commonly known as 401 Canyon St., Plainview, Hale County Texas. It is currently Suburban Residential (SR) and it is requesting to be zoned,Generalommercial-Mixed Residential (MR). OWNER(S):Gary and Gretchen Massingill SURVERYOR:Centerline Engineering Jeff Johnston presented before the board,to rezone 401 Canyon St.from Suburban Residential(SR) to Mixed Residential (MR) Chris LeFevre made motion to open public hearing. Seconded by Mark Hardin, vote carried unanimously. No one is opposition or favor. Mark Hardin made motion to close public hearing, Sally Bishop seconded,vote carried unanimously. Motion to approve Case File No. P-23-01 rezone a platted property approximately 11,976 sq. ft. in the Ray Addition, the Southeast Block of 87, commonly known as 401 Canyon St., Plainview, Hale County Texas. Currently zoned, Suburban Residential (SR). It is requesting to be zoned,General-Gommercial-Mixed Residential (MR). - Mark Hardin made motion to approve case file no. P-23-01. Seconded by Chris LeFevre, motion carried unanimously.
