RESOLUTION R26-701
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS, AWARDING THE PRIMARY BANK DEPOSITORY SERVICES
CONTRACT TO HAPPY STATE BANK AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL CONTRACTS AND OTHER
AGREEMENTS INCIDENT TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE
PRIMARY BANK DEPOSITORY RELATIONSHIP; THE INITIAL
CONTRACT TERM SHALL BEGIN ON OCTOBER 1, 2026 AND END ON
SEPTEMBER 30, 2029 WITH THE OPTION FOR TWO ONE YEAR
EXTENSIONS UNDER THE SAME TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview, Texas, has solicited applications from eligible
financial institutions to provide Primary Bank Depository Services under Chapter 105 of
the Local Government Code, and
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview, Texas, has evaluated the applications received
and has determined that the application submitted by Happy State Bank is the most
advantageous application for the City,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings and provisions set out in the preamble to this
resolution are hereby in all things approved and adopted.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate and execute
any and all contracts and other agreements incidental to the establishment of the City's
Primary Bank Depository Services relationship:
Section 3. That the authorization provided herein is contingent upon the approval
of the City Attorney of all contracts and other documents to be executed pursuant to the
authority granted herein.
Section 4. That the meeting at which this resolution was passed was conducted
in strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter
551.
Section 5. That this resolution shall be effective immediately from and after its
date of passage.
