The Plainview Hale County Board of Health met in regular session on January
3, 1982 at K'Bob's. Those present were: Dr. C.M. Baldwin, Mr. James Belk
Dr. C.L. Busby, Mrs. Susan Dobbins, R.N., Mr. Oliver Harmel, Mr. Bud Law,
Dr. Anthony Lyons, Mrs. Mary Lou Truesdale, R.N., Mr. Lanny Voss, Mrs. Iva
Jean West, Dr. Hugh H. •'Wilson, Jr., media representative Jim Davis, guests
Mrs. Jean Law and Tommy Downes, medical student.
Meeting was called to order by Dr. Baldwin, vicechairman, in the absence
of Dr, Karrh.
First order of. business was the approval of the minutes. Mr. Law made the
motion that they be approved, it was seconded by Dr. Busby. Motion carried.
Dr. Baldwin called for payment of the bills. Dr. Wilson. made the motion
that they be paid, it was seconded by Mr. Law. Motion carried.
Dr. Lyons reported that everything was:functioning smoothly at the Health
Department.
Mrs. Truesdale reported one aide was out ill, one nurse was in training, one
clerk was in training, and that there were no particular problems.
Family Planning had been audited the previous week and problems were minor.
The City of Plainview was to begin repermitting Food Establishments
January lst.
The Fee Structuring Committee provided a chart reflecting the fees charged
in different areas of the state. There was some discussion and it was
explained that the chart was only for consideration. There was no action
taken. Board members were requested to study the report and return with
recommendations to the next. meeting. The committee will have a range of
costs by the next meeting.
Mrs. Truesdale asked about the scheduling of the meetings for 1982. Dr.
Busby made a motion that the next meeting be January 28, 1982 and that
they continue to be at K -Bob's. Mrs. West seconded and motion carried.
Dr. Baldwin then called an executive session. No action was taken.
After the executive session Dr. Wilson moved that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion was seconded and it carried.
There was no request by theEtrard for excused absences.
