R90-120 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS, ACCEPTING BIDS AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF WATER AND SEWER CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS. WHEREAS, there exists a need to construct water and/or sanitary sewer main improvements at the Plainview/Hale County Airport and at various locations in the City of Plainview; and WHEREAS, .on March 5, 1990, at 2:00 P.M., bids were received and publicly opened for the purchase of materials necessary to construct said improvements; and WHEREAS, the bids were tabulated and analyzed Engineering Department of the City of Plainview; and by the WHEREAS, the Engineering Department recommends that purchase awards be made to the following bidders based on the lowest and best bids submitted by said bidders (as shown in the tabulation of bids attached and made a part hereof) as follows: Section 1. PVC Pipe and Fittings: Western Industrial Supply Co., Inc., Lubbock, Texas, at a total amount of $4,244.80. Section 2. V.C. Pipe and Fittings: Western Industrial Supply Co., Inc., Lubbock, Texas, at a total amount of $1,050.94. Section 3. C.I. Fittings and Materials: Western Industrial Supply Co., Inc., Lubbock, Texas, at a total amount of $1,394.95. Section 4. Gate Valves and Fire Hydrants: Clowe and Cowan, Inc., Lubbock, Texas at a total amount of $6,565.69. Alternate Section Industrial Supply Co., $376~32. 5. Prec~st Concrete Manholes: Western Inc., Lubbock, Texas, at a total amount of Alternate Section 6. Fiberglass Manholes: No award. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Plainview, Texas, that the bids received March 5, 1990, for water and sanitary sewer main construction materials be a~cepted, that the purchase of said materials be awarded to the above stated suppliers which have submitted the lowest and best bids, and that funds necessary for the payment of said materials be and is hereby authorized to be made from the Water and Sewer Construction Fund of the City of Plainview. 1 of 2 055 Passed and Approved this 13th day of March, 1990.
