HomeMy WebLinkAboutR85-788RESOLUTION NO. R85-788 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE EXHLV/fION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH PARKHILL, SMITH AND COOPER, INC. FOR MISCRLTANEOUS ENGINEERING SERVICES. WHEREAS, the City of Plainview is periodically in need of miscellaneous engineering services; and WHEREAS, the engineering firm of Parkhill, Smith and Cooper, Inc. has provided the City of Plainview with those services in the past; and WHEREAS, the City of Plainview has been satisfied with the services provided in the past by Parkhill, Smith and Cooper, Inc.: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas, that the Mayor be authorized to execute a letter of agreement with Parkhill, Smith & Cooper, Inc. for miscellaneous engineering services, with the terms and conditions being approved by the City Council. The fee for miscellaneous services shall be salary cost times a multiplier of 2.00 plus reimbursement for direct non-labor and sub-contract expense at invoice cost times a multiplier of 1.15. Fees.~will be billed quarterly. Salary cost is defined as the salaries of engineers, draftsmen, stenographers, surveymen, clerks, etc. for the time directly chargeable to the project plus normal payroll expenses. On project~.?here the costs .will exceed $100,000, the fee ~ill be negotiated. You may indicate the acceptance of this agreement by returning a signed copy of this letter to our office.
